about
I’ve always loved zines. About fifteen years ago I put out a zine called Nailbomb. It was mostly music oriented. I put out three issues and pasted a forth together before calling it quits. It was a lot of work but a lot of fun at the same time. After that, I gave up on zine making but never lost my interest in reading and collecting zines. I decided to start a this new zine project after attending zine fairs in Halifax and Sackville and realizing how much I appreciate and enjoy the world of small press and indie publications. I also became a fan of the Saint John zine “The Tempest”, a few years back. I don’t think it comes out anymore by have to give it credit for helping inspire me to get back on the zine wagon.
My intention with Mazucca City is to present bits and pieces of interesting stories that all have ties to my hometown of Fredericton, NB. All the stories are short….like my attention span. If you have a short to share, please get in touch.
